Gir Lion National Park & Sanctuary is the only abode of Asiatic Lions in the world where one can spot them in their natural habitat. A dry deciduous forest with undulating hillocks, the Sanctuary protects a host of wildlife other than Lions. Leopard, Spotted deer, Sambar, Marsh crocodile, Blue bull and Wild boar are a few to mention. Though famous for the critically endangered Asiatic Lions, Gir is also an excellent place for bird watching with over 300 species.

Itineraries

Day 1

On The Way to Jungle

Report at ANALA Office at 11:00 PM. Depart from Ahmedabad for Sasan Gir by 3x2 Non Ac Luxury Bus at 11:30 PM.

Day 2

Stay in Tant

Arrive Gir campsite at around 08:30 AM Tent allotment, After breakfast visit to interpretation centre and lunch. Short trek in the evening.

Day 3

Go to Last home of Asiatic Lion

After breakfast long trek in the forest back to campsite for Lunch. Evening visit to Devalia for Safari.

Day 4

Back to Home

After breakfast depart for Ahmedabad. Arrive ANALA OFFICE Ahmedabad in the evening at 08:30 PM.
